I have been working with the English language for over 22 years now. I was an exchange student for one year in USA and since I got back I am teaching and improving my skills in the translation segment as well. I have taken part in 2 international congresses - TESOL, one in Seattle and the other in Vancouver.
Besifdes that I have taken part in the Congress at UNIBERO here in Brazil - which is a university of translators and interpreters.
I have always been enhance my skills taking courses and also studying constantly to achieve improvements. We have to be seaching for new things constantly.
SELF DESCRIPTION
Through this letter I would like to introduce the work I have made in the area of translation and version. Along the years I have been working with translation I have had the opportunity to translate different things in the area of engineering for DU PONT do BRASIL. At the time I was a teacher at the company and I was requested to accomplish the translation work of the manuals and also the procedures of new equipment which was going to be installed at the plant. For FAPATI I have also accomplished translation work in the engineering area, which referred to a new equipment to be installed in the production area, as well as the detailed information on the new project of the area. At GALENA QUÍMICA E FARMACEUTICA I have had the opportunity to translate different kinds of material. The institutional Video which is distributed at fairs and also sent to suppliers out of the country was also translated from Portuguese to English. The presentation brochures of the company were also translated to English; this is handed out at fairs as well. Some updated medical information was also translated from English to Portuguese; this was done due to the importation of new products. The questionnaire of supply qualification was translated into English in order to be sent to the suppliers to be properly adjusted to the new regulations of the company (this was performed together with the supply department). The detailed description of products and theirs characteristics was done together with the quality control department.A new report of veterinarian products was also translated, besides that a presentation of the company was done in the veterinarian area in order to launch the company the veterinarian area among the suppliers.
